I loved the size of the Radiance of the Seas. It was big enough to have all the amenities, but was easy to navigate and arrive at my desired location quickly. My husband and I loved being on the Deck 4 where the dining room was located and the theater was only one floor up, and disembarking at the ports of call was two flights down. Very easy. There was never a long wait for an elevator.
All the personnel seemed very happy and were friendly. Our assistant waiter, Jonathan (age 21), was adorable with the sweetest smile and such a sincere attitude. Our table mate and I wanted to take him home with us. Our cabin steward was only mediocre, and the waiter was attentive but hard to understand.
The food was good and occasionally extra good. I never felt like "herded cattle" like I have in the past on Carnival. The buffet was broken up in islands of food so there was no long buffet line. In fact, I never stood in line during this cruise.
We were located half way between front and rear elevators which was a fairly long walk which was fine with us. Loved being on Deck 4 because the dining room was located there and the theatre was one floor up. It was quiet except the last night when someone overhead was dropping things. The closet space was fine for 2 people and lots of shelf space to stash stuff in the desk and behind mirrors. The shower was too small but we managed. The window was very large. The sheets were very soft and the towels were large.
