There were four of us on the cruise. We had a great time. There are some limitations to the ship but they are probably no different than any limitation on any other cruise vessel.. none are perfect.
However, the staff was always very friendly. Moderno is a great place to eat.. what a salad bar!! The wait staff in their was fantastic.. as was it for Cagneys.
The Garden Cafe has all the regular food items you would expect and it was a great presentation.
The cruise stops were not our favorites. We went for the new ship. Fortunately, because we stayed on board in ports we used the boat to its max with little crowds. This is the best way to travel on the Epic.
Sea days were busy...very busy.. on the pool deck and the lack of other areas to be outside was disappointing.
The atrium cafe area was a great place to people watch, relax and have a great cup of coffee... you do pay for the special coffees.. but it was so worth it.
You do have to bring extra money with you to enjoy this ship. The spa is one of a kind.. and you need to pay for it 199.00 a couple. The specialty restaurants are great... but you have to pay for it.. and the casino is fun... but again bring money.
If you are looking for a cheap vacation this is not the ship for you. But if you have some cash to spend, want to live it up and have a great time.. please do go on the Epic.
Finally.. the Legends show is great. Whoever plays Michael Jackson is GREAT!!! Good show and a lovely space to watch a show from.
We had a memorable time.. loved the warm weather and enjoyed the beauty of the new ship.
Lesson learned from this trip.. the big ships are crowded.. if you want peace, quiet and relaxation without much of a rat race.. I would probably look for another place to cruise. The Epic is busy.. and there is no way around that.
Thanks Epic.. it was a great time.
