First, I think the Emerald Princess is a great ship, with the best service overall I've ever experienced. The crew really were very helpful and always smiling. We had an inside cabin, small but nice, that was kept extra clean by our stewart, Rodrigo. Embarkation went smoothly and took about 30 minutes in all. Our room was ready when we arrived about 1:00pm. The bathroom was very small, but ok, and no, the shower curtain never stuck to me!

We ordered continental breakfast every day, and it always arrived promptly. Lunch was usually in the Horizon Grill buffet and was pretty good. It was always busy there, but the staff was good about finding us a table. We had anytime dining and went every night to the Michaelangelo Room. We asked for a table for two every night and never waited more than a few minutes. Service in the dining room was wonderful, and in general the food was good. Desserts ranged from good to fantastic! Hubby ordered pasta with every meal and loved it. My only complaint with the food was that more attention needs to be paid to the veggies and side dishes. Some of them were cold, others totally bland.

We loved the International Cafe with their delicious pastries, and stopped there a little too often! We ate in the Wheelhouse Pub once, had shrimp and chips and it was ok. Also had the pizza by the pool once and liked it.

Cabin Review

Cabin J

We were in cabin B721 and had no problem with it. It was quiet there, but I could feel alot of rocking of the ship for the whole cruise. The bed was slightly hard, could use a new, better mattress.
