We were just blown away (excuse the pun) by the size of the Dream when we first saw it. Embarkation was fine. The terminal is very orderly.
The ship awed us when we first came aboard. It is so pretty and sparkley and tastefully decorated. Love the art and glass (floors and walls).
We ate lunch on the Lido deck and except for the big screen, it was pretty much like the Lido deck on the Facsination which is the only other cruise we've been on. The food was good and it was all exciting.
We looked around the ship and loved the murals between each cabin door in the corriders.
The cabin was spacious and I LOVED THE Balcony!! It was a refuge.
Dinner in the Scarlett was great and we loved our dinner companions.
We bought the $95 wine package which was a good idea.
The passengers were mostly very nice and civilized. There are always the rude, crude, loud and sleazy looking passengers on Carnival, but this cruise was mostly not that way. We met many really nice people.
Loved all of the excursions we did. We did the Speedboat, Snorkeling and Kayak one in Cozumel which we adored.
I did the Barrier Reef Snorkeling in Belize which I enjoyed, while hubby did the Search For the Lost Mayan Caves which he loved, but it is for very the fit.
We got the beach pkg. for Roatan which included chair lift, 2 rafts, 2 lounges and 2 clam shells. It rained but it was still nice. Shops were pretty good.
The 4th excursion was the Mayan ruins in Costa Maya, which was very informative and interesting.
Long lines occured by elevators after shows and dinners. Also around 10AM on the Lido deck for late breakfast. Otherwise, didn't have a problem. Favorite was deli on the Sunset deck (aft on deck 10)
Holloween was a blast.. We had our elegant night in the MDR then went to the Song for the Mambo Kings and we danced and it was so much fun. They are a good group.
All and all it was a fun cruise. Ship is immaculate and they clean it constantly. The famous smell is rare and probably salt water. The food is good and plentiful.
