Just returned from our very first cruise with family and friends. I felt I had to take the time to write a short review to describe just how much we all enjoyed our holiday.

The ship - after spending quite some time reading the reviews on cruise critic, I was not sure of what to expect, but felt that true judgement could only be made once we had experienced this ourselves. The result was very positive. The check-in / boarding process, stateroom, cleanliness, meals, entertainment and staff were of five star quality. The only negative comment I have was the pool area, very small pools and on sea days, almost impossible to get a place to sit. Also, felt the channels available on TV were very limited.

The tours - although we got off on every port (7 in total) we only did 1 excursion with Royal Caribbean (Monaco and Monte Carlo). For the ports in Italy (Florence, Rome and Naples) we used the service ROME-IN-LIMO and can honestly say that we would use them again without any hesitation. We managed to see so much for the short time we were there. In Naples, we did not have a very well informed driver (spoke mostly just Italian), but he did take us to see Positano, Sorrento and Pompei, so mission was accomplished.
