Sail Date: Mar 2010

Background: We sailed on The Legend March 7th through March 14th 2010. This was me and my wifes second cruise. We chose a cruise because it was my wifes birthday and our anniversary during the time of the cruise. This was our second time cruising and second time with Carnival so we knew what to expect.

Arrival: We left home in SC the day before the cruise and drove down to Tampa and stayed in a hotel near the port before the day of departure. we did this so we will not be tired from our 9-10 hour drive and have more time to enjoy the ship. Great move on our part. At the Tampa Embarkation it moved really fast took us only 15-20 minutes to go thru security and get our Zone numbers to be called on board and the fun will begin. Good piece of advise: Carnival says that they start boarding at 12 pm. We arrived at 11 and there was plenty of people ahead of us. Arrive early to beat the lines! After walking on board we looked around the ship and hung out on Lido deck and relaxed while we waited for our rooms to be ready. It took us a LONG time to clear the Tampa port. But we enjoyed exploring the ship and trying all the food!!

Our Room: We had a balcony room on deck 7. We loved the room. A friend told me this room had a extended balcony. And boy was it ever!! It was the 3 times longer than the standard. We had the opportunity to relax in lounge chairs and tan in the privacy of our deck. Enough room for both of us to lay out with plenty to spare. The room was plenty big enough in the room for the two of us, the bathroom was a little tight, especially the shower. Everything was clean and the room steward was great.
