Sail Date: Mar 2010
Cabin: Extended Balcony

The ship is older but you can't tell unless you look closely. It is comfortable for the most part and the decor reminds you of some casinos out in Vegas. Everyone is nice and helpful. The rooms are quite spacious (even the rooms without a balcony) which surprised me since I've heard horror stories from other people that have cruised other lines about how tiny the rooms are. When we weren't out doing things on the ship we were relaxing in the cabin or out on the balcony and we didn't feel cramped at all.

The food is pretty good. Usually the main dining room had good choices for dinner and they were quite accommodating if you wanted to try several appetizers or main courses. The buffet is very spread out and can be confusing to navigate the first few days until you get oriented on the ship. Breakfast is worth getting up early for. We never did breakfast in the main dining room but I did hear it was good. The omelet guy does eggs very, very well which is probably why the line can sometimes be pretty long.

We didn't try room service until the day before we left. During the day they are quick to take the order and deliver it. Come 3AM it can take upwards of 30 minutes to get your food after waiting about 25 rings for someone to pick up the phone. Still worth it if you don't want to venture up for late night pizza at the 24-hour pizza bar.

Extended Balcony

Great balcony. Good sized room. You will hear noises from the lido deck above of deck chairs being moved around starting at 5AM and kids running back and forth.
