How can you not like to get away from winter with a cruise that cost less than $500 per person for a top line balcony cabin? Of course the weather co-operated and temperatures ranged from 80-85 everyday. The ship was really a treat, So much to see and do in so little time. The staff at every level was charming and gracious. My wife and I chose the my time dining because we loved it on our past Norwegian cruises. We had no problems making a reservation and because we enjoyed our waiter so much , the maitre' d made sure we got him on the four evenings we chose to eat in the main dining room. The food was not gourmet, but it was more than adequate. The last evening we ate in Chops steakhouse which was excellent. My advice, don't go on the last evening because if you've overeaten the previous four days, you may not appreciate it as much. The Fillet was really good. I couldn't get to finish the dessert, Mississippi Mud Pie. The destinations were interesting and sometimes upsetting. Labadee was great. The Haitians there were happy to see us, and the facilities were nice. Warning: wear water shoes or you will cut your feet on the loose coral and rocks near the shore. In Ocho Rios we went Tubing on the White River. Really nice and fun. The City itself was problematic. In the shops you were hounded. If you stopped to look at an item someone was almost connected to your body asking you to make an offer. The streets had hustlers and beggars everywhere. The entertainment was spotty. The Ice Show was fabulous, one comedian very good and down the line to the productions, which we felt were average at best. The bars had some good entertainment with the Schooner Bar our favorite. The ship in itself is a form of entertainment with it's shops on the central promenade. In some places you could see that it is starting to show some age because the cabin balconies had some paint peeling and non varnished handrails. All in all, a very fun cruise.
