No hurry, no fuss, and no worry. Embarkation was a breeze. All aboard in no time at all. A quick sail through Miami and out to the Atlantic . Pleasant does not sufficiently describe the well-trained crew on the Norwegian Sky. Any time we passed a crew member, none averted their eyes, and always gave us a pleasant greeting or welcome. My wife and I had a balcony state room (the only way to go). The sunset views are worth the cost of the wines we shared on our balcony. We were very fortunate to have Michael and Marissa as our room steward and stewardess. Their attention to personal details, cleanliness and pleasant ways were an unexpected and deeply appreciated bonus for us. We only had one negative experience at the end of the cruise (more on that later).
The pool deck has nice pool with hot tubs, and various entertainments was a nice place to be. The drink servers , although constantly asking if we "wanted another" were not put off or pushy at our "no thank you's." Plenty of activities for any ages including sports, dancing, gaming at the casino. song, or my favorite: just lounging around and "people watching." We didn't see a sad face on board!
Food: Excellent. We had dinner at The Palace, and much preferred it over The Crossings, as it seemed the staff at The Palace were much more pleasant and attentive. We passed on the pricier restaurants as we have dined at many Italian, and Steakhouse restaurants, and fois gras and the menu at LeBristo is just not my cup of tea. The buffets (breakfast, lunch, dinner and anytime) were sumptuous and well-prepared, with enough variety for any tastes.
