This ship wasn't our choice. It was part of a scenic trip. The ship itself is lovely but it does need refurbishing. Our cabin was on deck 11 Baja 709. Good place on ship. Dining was great. Was not rapped in the restaurant. The Amalfi - It was on deck 6 and had to be accessed from deck 7 and no washrooms available. Had to go back up to deck 7 and there was one toilet and if it was not working you had to go half way down deck 7. I have allergies and my head waiter took my order each night for the next nights meals. They were fantastic. The only problem I had was lunchtimes especially on port days. I also had to pre order lunch but that was impossible as 3 of the days were port days. Never on board for those. The buffet could not accomodate me. Also there was not the variety in the buffet. Nearly the same everyday. There was activities to do all the time if you wanted to. And entertainment was good. Our cabin steward was not the best. Only saw her once in 7 days and one day she did not do our room till the night time. Other services were fantastic. We chose to book our shore excursions from the boat. Only because it was our first time in Alaska. They are very expensive and you can get them on shore. Overall we had a good time. The Star princess is going in for refurbishing so hopefully it will be better. On the last morning washrooms on decks 5,6,and 7 were out of action.

Cabin Review

Cabin Other

Cabin was usual size for a cruise ship. Bathroom was usual size as well. If you want more room a suite would be better for you.
