We chose this cruise to make up a portion of a round the world trip (Back to Back Cruises). We started in Singapore and ended 30 days later in Rome. We enjoyed the ports, other than Greece, and thought the Suez Cannel passage was spectacular. We have sailed with Celebrity over 40 times and the product is slipping due to cost cutting. The ship is showing it's age and needs a complete redo. However, the scheduled dry dock, in May 2017, will not do what's needed.
The Celebrity crew and staff are wonderful and go out of their way to accommodate guest requests. On the first leg, we were in an Aqua class balcony and the second leg an Outside. In Aqua Class the bed was saggy and proped up by foam rubber. The outside cabin bed sagged about 5" in the middle, and several times, Housekeeping tried to add foam rubber, but it never worked. The outside cabin, bathroom floor and shower grout, was in despert need of a steam cleaning to get rid of dirt and mold. Both cabins had problems with closet and furniture doors sagging and not closing.
We thought the food quality has continued to decline. We ate in BLU the first cruise and the main dining room (MDR) the second. The service and environment in BLU was very nice, but the food was not anything great. In fact, some nights we thought the MDR had better choices. We had Select Dining on the second leg and were lucky to have the same table for 6 every night. The wait staff were excellent, and we enjoyed every meal!
We would not go on this ship again untill they get new bedding!
