I had high hopes for the HARMONY OF THE SEAS. My first OASIS OF THE SEAS Cruise in 2010 was phenomenal and the ship was less than a year old. Just as her sister, Harmony's design is spacious and esthetically pleasing. Art work adorning the halls, walls and suspended from the ceiling was fresh, young and new -worthy a leisurely stroll with a camera. I love to walk full circle around the upper decks late at night -it's quiet, warm, refreshing, breathtaking and God fearing...simply beautiful. I have nothing but praise for the dedicated crew and breathtaking vessel, itself!
But...
The Oasis was full of activities for all ages. Harmony was hit or miss. I believe the full activities and programing list have yet to be implemented, on this ship. My older teen stayed in our cabin for most of the day, after the 3rd night complaining of lack of creative activities. Someone complained of an unusual sparse scheduling for Karaoke. The POW Moments were far and few between: "Boleros", the live music Latin club was a hit, the live New Orleans Jazz Band which magically appeared on the Boardwalk one afternoon was sea, was a welcomed surprise. "Grease" was a POW Moment as well as Wonderland, the eclectic restaurant a memorable experience from start to finish.
Noisy on the "Boardwalk" side, as opposed to the "Central Park" side. The teen-club was located near our balcony and they were noisy until closing at 1 AM. We were so exhausted every night, it didn't bother us much.
