We chose this cruise because as the only siblings left in our family we wanted to do something together. Some of the things disappointing about the cruise were 1) no table clothes on dinning tables, that use to make you feel like you we dinning in a luxury establishment, now to save a buck they did away with the table cloth and you now feel like your in a fast food restaurant. 2) no refrigerator in rooms, because we are a gold members we get some free water which you have to drink warm because you are always hunting down the room attendant to get ice. 3) If you bought liquor at a port of call you have to turn it in as you board ship, thats not a problem what is the problem is now you have to get up early on morning of departure and go to a dinning hall and redeem your liquor, they use to deliver it to your room the night before so you can figure out how to transport it. 4) The biggest issue was the any time seating for dinner, on prior cruises we could just go to a restaurant and be seated...now however you must go to a separate floor to register for dinner a half hour before and get a beeper, once again feeling like you are at a fast family restaurant back home. We go on cruises because it is suppose to make you feel happy and special that someone is waiting on you and you are carefree for a short while in your life. WE DID NOT GET THAT ON CARNIVAL SUNSHINE and for the cost of 2500 plus 200 for tips for two of us we had four port of calls that were barely long enough to see the islands. Carnival used to be better but now its all about the bottom line!!!!
