This was DW's and my 17th cruise. We most of the time cruise from the west coast. We flew from San Diego to New Jersey and stayed two nights at the Jersey City Westin which met all our needs. We took the Path Train to 33rd and 7th St in New York, from Jersey City (the station is only across the street from the Westin). On Sunday we used UBER to get to the ship. Our appointment time was 11:00 and I will say the embarkation was the best I have ever had. The ship is beautiful and very smart looking but is way to big for my liking. The parents seem to let there children run loose all over the ship, running into people and yelling while chasing other kids. We did have two Grand Children with us Ages 13, 16.

[The Cabin: (D11276) was great, it was a balcony and was well appointed. The shower was great with a curved glass type door. Ample room on the balcony for both of us with two chairs, foot stools and small table. Being on the 11th Deck we had no obstructions. The bed was very comfortable. We had two closets with ample room for all of our clothes. Plenty of storage space also. We had a great Cabin Steward, not obtrusive but always around if you needed anything.

[Dining: We had our evening meals in the Grand Dining Room. This is one of three for the evening dining, Food was just OK and I think the food at the Windjammer (Buffet) was much better. The dinning room (Grand) was open for two hours for morning and lunch meals. In the Windjammer Buffet, Good luck getting a table without a wait. You will have to keep trooping the deck until one become available. The other venues like the TWO/70, The pizza shop, and other short order food shops are just OK.
