Took a 7 night cruise to the caribbean. Ports of call included Labadee - Haiti, Falmouth - Jamaica, and Cozumel - Mexico. Upon arrival we were allowed onto the ship around 11:30AM which was nice, but could not get into our state rooms until after 1PM. It is tied for the 2nd largest cruise ship in the world and has a central park area which is very nice. Labadee is a "private" island on the shore of Haiti that Royal Caribbean (RC) owns. It was very nice and tropical - gorgeous views from the ship with nice beaches. The food was average in the main dining room and a little below average at the windjammer buffet.

When we arrived at Falmouth, Jamaica we had booked a non-RC excursion. The company was Yardie tours - they were pleasant but it seemed a bit rushed. We did go to the Dunns River Falls and it was crowded. There were several groups of tourists climbing up the falls at the same time, which made it a little more treacherous and harder to enjoy. We then went tubing - it was nice but again a bit rushed. I did not know that our port was 45 minutes away from the Falls - which took away from the enjoyment time.

While cruising, the staff was friendly and Spa was very relaxing if you're willing to pay extra. They have several additional restaurants on board beyond the main dining room / buffet that can be tried if you are willing to pay an additional cover fee. We ate at Giovanni's, which was italian style food, it was great and if you go for lunch the cover is only $15 per person. They have the same menu for dinner where it costs $30 per person instead. Shows on the ship were okay - Mama Mia was probably the best but you need to make a reservation prior to boarding to reserve tickets/seats and it takes about 2 1/2 hours, so prepare to sit for a while.

Cabin Review

Family Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin FB

Cabin was nice. Comfortable with a couch to sit on as well as the bed. We did have a nice little balcony near the front starboard side of the ship. It was close to central park area and was not loud at all. I would chose this cabin location again in the future.

Port Reviews

Labadee

Beautiful scenery, never what I would have imagined. The only sad thing is how pushy the sellers were at the market place, but that is very expected anywhere. Don't touch anything or tell them your name - because they may carve it into their item and try to force you to buy it.
