Sail Date: Mar 2017

This was an opportunity to see most northern Mediterranean ports in one cruise. We combined a cruise from Barcelona to Venice with a follow on cruise from Venice to Athens -- 21 days in total. Viking provided a great ship (Viking Sea), tremendous staff, outstanding food, no "nickel & diming" us with charges for wine or beer with meals (all provided), an included tour at every port, no extras for specialty restaurants, no extra cost for using the spa, and etc. On board entertainment was exceptional and all staff members were extremely courteous and efficient. The on board "spaces" are well designed and extremely comfortable while providing great views as we sailed. We particularly enjoyed the Explorer's Lounge at the bow which provided a 2-deck,180 degree view of the sea ahead plus a unique specialty restaurant for breakfast and lunch. The sushi bar in the World Café provides the best sushi of any cruise line (it is on every Viking ship), every night. It was a high value, thoroughly enjoyable cruise that I heartily recommend to anyone..

Cabin Review

Cabin DV-6

Cabin was well laid out with sufficient room and a veranda which we used frequently as we were traveling with friends who had the adjacent cabin and we could link the verandas. The bathroom had a heated floor and was well laid out.

Port Reviews

Toulon

We arrived with the Mistral winds which made for a very windy included tour of Toulon.
