We chose this cruise because of the destinations offered. It was the maiden voyage of the Viking Sky and our cabin and the service was wonderful. All of the staff that we encountered were friendly, attentive and good at what they did. We are amazed at the selection of staff that Viking must go through to obtain the people that they do.

With one exception, the excursions were good. Overall the rating would have been higher except that the excursions left little time in many of the cities for just walking around and exploring. The guide for one excursion was the absolute worst guide we have ever encountered on our many cruises. We complained as many ways as we could and I have to admit I am disappointed in Viking in this regard. We were never offered a refund of the price we paid for the excursion, which I feel is the least that Viking could do.

There were numerous restaurants at which to dine, but it took a while before we figured out where we wanted to eat. A better description of the restaurants on board would have helped to minimize our search. Read more
