Traveled with children

Travelled with 3 combined families. We really enjoyed the cruise. We selected it because we had 5 kids under the age of 5. They loved the water zone, which was just perfect for their age group. We went to the dining room for breakfast, which was great because the windjammer was so crowded. We all enjoyed the dining room, as the servers (Iwayan and Ni) treated the kids and us like royalty. They provided top-notch service every meal. We had family dining option, which was at 5:30 so the kids could go to the kids program at 6:30 and allow us to finish our meal. We didn't enjoy the food or experience in the Windjammer, however, it is a great option and convenience for pool times. Salads were always a good option in the Windjammer.

The kids loved going on the Promenade in the evening to "dance in the street" with the band. We enjoyed the skating shows and other evening shows, when we could attend.

We appreciated the Promenade cafe for convenience and a nice opportunity to grab sandwiches or a treat or beverage as we were walking around or preparing to go off the ship at a port. We took advantage of the volleyball and ping pong tournament.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E3

Cabin was larger than our balcony stateroom on Princess. Had a nice soda sleeper for the kids. We travelled with three families and we could connect our balconies by having room service on lock the sliding doors. It was great. During windy nights, the balcony was noisy. The worst part of the stateroom was the bed (and the pillow). The pillows were so flat, we had to sleep on 3. One half of the bed slanted and was so soft, my husband and I had to pretty much share a twin.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

Unfortunately, we weren't prepared for this stop. We thought we would take a cab to the beach, but didn't end up doing it. We just walked around.

Costa Maya

Two of the group took a tram to the beache (2nd stop) and enjoyed Krazy Lobster. They had an amazing beach massage for $20 each.

Unfortunately, some of our group got sick that day (did not catch it on the ship).

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

We did take the tender in and found a small beach area that the girls enjoyed walking around looking for shells. They were disappointed when they had to give them up when we returned to the ship, but the hunt was fun. I

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

One family toured the city on their own by renting a car. Their flight wasn't until 8:00 pm. They rented a car (be sure to check the cost of car seat rentals, as they paid $17 each...they didn't check when they signed up for the car).
