Conquest, One grand lady. Check in at Port Everglades was the worst. We were scheduled for 11:00 / 11:30 priority check-in. Got there just before 11:00 am and we were quickly directed to the Captains lounge and that’s where bottleneck started. Around 100 priority cruisers crammed into a space outfitted for 50. Leave it to say, it took about an hour to gain entry to the ship. Now this is Port Everglades fault and no reflection on Carnival.
Once on board everything was as expected. Staff was helpful and attentive. Guy’s burger joint was over the top, as was the Red Frog Bar. I found the public areas to be clean and for the age of the ship; she surly is one grand lady. We had anytime dining and that was just a cluster, so we never got to the Dining room. We opted instead for the Lido and two nights in the “Steak House”. The Lido was good as expected ( be sure to hit the Bar-B-Q 10th floor for lunch) and the Steak House,, Oh my…… If you’ve never tried it,, You have to! Enough about food, I’m getting hungry here.
The shows were great, main stage and the Comedy club. Musicians, at night, throughout the ship were tight and don’t miss the violinists (fiddle players) in the Lobby; foot stomping to say the least. Manny thanks to the casino staff for the fresh cookies in our room everyday and the Steak house dinner. Our suite,7-298, and room steward John, made this vacation memorable.
Great room and a great Stewart. Thanks John.
Just hung around the pool area, had some cocktails.
Cesspool...
Just grab a cab and head to the beach
