I've sailed on this ship several times and enjoy it. The crew is friendly and there is a lot of good food although my steak in their specialty restaurant was cold and undercooked. I really can't recommend the Steakhouse.

The entertainment is worth seeing. My two complaints are: the music is too loud and I wish they would ban smoking in the casino. Unlike other cruise lines I have used, with Carnival, bring ear plugs.

The drinks are reasonably priced and the wine is overpriced. The wine they offered at half price still cost twice as much as the purchase price at home. You can bring your own and there isn't a fee if you keep it in your room.

Cabin 4A

As a single, I have to pay for two people in the room so I ask for an interior room.

Port Reviews

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

I did the zip line excursion. Value was it as fine. The issue we had was some of the participants did not have on recommended shoes. That delayed our departure and we didn't return to the ship with enough time to go to the beach.
