We chose Allure of the Seas for a New year's Cruise due to the dates. The cruise was great - Mama Mia was exceptional. The new show Blue Planet?? What the heck was that all about? Terrible!! What a waste of a good night. All six of us left early as it was actually painful to sit and watch. The ice show was very entertaining and a must see (Although the monopoly theme made no sense)! The Beatle mania show was not really our cup of tea but we watched anyways.

Best excursion: Jaguar Tours in Cozumel. We had a private beach all to our selves, the crew made us an amazing lunch of chicken fajitas and hibiscus tea (with a little tequila for an added punch). We toured the Eco Park and light house and then chose to ride tandem bikes to the beach. So fun! We spent time on stand up paddle boards in the ocean and even got close to a sting ray. It was the best. The guides were amazing and really really knowledgeable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOUR!! We booked through the ship. Well worth the money!

Flow rider staff is tops. Everyone enjoyed that tremendously. They taught the newbies how to do it the first ride and made the trip for the "surfers" really fun. Food was plentiful but if you are gluten free it is not exactly the best. It would be so easy for them to label ingredients on their food. Why oh why can they not get that done? Those of us with food allergies would really appreciate that. It is not easy to find someone on staff who can go thru EVERY meal with you to see what foods are safe. Labeling would solve so much of the food problem.

Cabin Review

Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin H

Very small but manageable. We had two staterooms. One stateroom for two of us and a second with four in it. That one was TIGHT! There is little room to move from the sofa around the bed to the bathroom. But we spent no time in our staterooms so it did not matter much.

Port Reviews

Nassau

Walked up to the Government house. Big pink house on top of the hill. It was interesting to see their equivalent to our White house.

Costa Maya

We got off the ship on our own and wandered around. We should have brought our swim suits as there is a lovely beach right at the area where you get off the ship - there are beach chairs and hammocks. Very busy area as there is not a lot to do there. We saw the dolphins swimming in their enclosure which also is available to do a dolphin up close excursion. We did not do any of that just watched the dolphins swim and play ball.

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Flew in and flew out. No excursions.
