Just passed the Diamond Plus Club on Royal Caribbean!! Woohoo! I have to say that this was our first christmas & New Year's Cruise and it was absolutely fantastic. We sailed on the Anthem of the Seas. Anthem is a beautiful ship and very different from the other RC Ships. She was very Modern and didn't feel as big as she actually was. There are tons of dining options and all reservations can be made via the Royal IQ smartphone app (which you do not need to buy an internet package to use). Jamie's Italian had amazing fresh pasta, the steaks and service at Chops Grill were top notch and Wonderland restaurant was a experience like no other. Even the suites dining, Coastal Kitchen, was super with high energy service and excellent food options. Normally, the suites dining options are a little quiet and empty- not the case for Coastal Kitchen. Windjammer was... well it was windjammer and nothing to really write home about.

For New Years Eve, we paid for the 270 Party. This was the BEST New Years celebration we have ever been too. They had the live music, Champagne bottles as every table, cheese plates, and decorated for the event flawlessly. Each Section in the theater had their own private bar service, which was nice not having to wait in any lines when it was time for a refill. The Digital Screens at the theater had an amazing pre NYE show and the Count Down was INCREDIBLE. The Party continued all night long as we moved to the Music had for the Dance Floor. I would absolutely recommend this 10 night journey on Anthem of the Seas.

The only issues we had were with the Photo Studio people and computers. They were extremely slow and when we asked about the NYE Pictures because they weren't loaded on the computers yet, the guy working the desk said "really? Really? You couldn't have come on another day to ask?" Well.. it was the last day of our cruise, yes it was busy... but we just wanted to buy the pictures that they took the night before. He seemed a little overwhelmed and I assume he was just taking out his frustration on us. The Ports we stopped at were: Labadee, Haiti / San Juan, Puerto Rico / St Martin / St Thomas. We also had 5 sea days (my favorite) :)
