After 2 Disney cruises was looking forward to Royal Caribbean now that my daughter is older. Unfortuantely it did not live up to expectations in some areas. The overall boat is big and beautiful but all the amazing activities listed are often only available for a very limited time or with limited spots so a very small percentage of the cruise passengers could actually have a spot to experience it. There was no priority waiting list if your activity was canceled due to weather and often the crew was overwhelmed by the amount of unhappy passengers and their families hoping to engage in a fun activity that was already "booked up".
The food in the main dining rooms was ok but nothing special. Wonderland however was fabulous so if you have the extra cash to spend it is worth it. Chops was also good but again was a pay additional experience. Please do not bother with the Character breakfast. There were only 2 characters present and you basically were given a ticket for a quick picture which you could have gotten for free at other times on the ship. Really disappointed in this aspect of it after sailing with Disney.
The shows were very good especially Spectra and the dancers/actors good. Overall the staff was friendly and tried to be as helpful as possible but often their hands were tied. Asked for a pad of paper and pen to be able to write a note but was told that was done away with awhile ago in the state rooms. Also another tip, don't get a stateroom on the 6th floor as ours was right above the Music hall so loud music until 1am every night and we only had a half view balcony as this is were the life boats are stored.
Right above the Music Hall so loud music every night until 1am!!! Otherwise only 1/2 view as this is where the life rafts are stored so we could see from waist up on the balcony
