We wanted a short cruise and we were concerned about going on a "smaller" ship. We've only been on Voyager or larger. We were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the size of the Enchantment. We also thought it was well maintained. Our bathroom had some damage to the countertop, but other than that, everything was in great shape.
Staff on the Enchantment was all friendly and helpful. Perhaps more so than usual. Our balcony room was typical of other Royal ships we have been on.
My only real complaint was the buffet on Coco Cay. People were taking food on their plates and then eating as they stood on line waiting for other items. So they would lick their fingers and then go to take other food. I got off of the line and had a banana for lunch. It was very unappealing. Even in the Windjammer I was concerned about other people's cleanliness. I saw one person sneeze into his hand and then take food. We've been on ships with norovirus and they served people instead of letting people take their own food. This would have been preferable, especially on Coco Cay. My husband felt that part of the problem on Coco Cay was that there were not enough stations set up.
Noisy at night from above. Not for a light sleeper. Bathroom is a little banged up. Shower door, not curtain. Hard mattress. Plenty of storage space and very clean. Nice size balcony for the space. Cabin attendant did a great job of keeping everything immaculate.
Took a taxi to Sandals for the day. It was expensive, but very nice and relaxing.
We love Miami.
