This was my wife and I's first cruise and went to see the northern lights. The first thing to go wrong was that the ship broke down and was 5 hours late, apart from an initial phone call to tell us this, we had to do all the chasing which was a good job, because if we had stuck to their plans we would have missed the boat! Boarding was chaotic to say the least and CMV managed to break my Samsonite Oyster suitcase, something that even the worst of the airlines around the world has failed to do.
When we finally got to our cabin, we found it, along with the rest of the ship, very tired and non too clean. The hot water in our cabin failed on 3 separate occasions and it was very difficult to regulate the heating' other travellers including the top suites, either fried or shivered.
The food at dinner was mediocre at best, although it was well presented and the waiting staff were excellent.
Very worn with holes in the bedding and only one chair. Bathroom adequate.
