My wife and I are Elite member of Princess. We took this same cruise in Sept. 2015 and again on the Crown to Alaska in July of this year. Reading some of the reviews especially the one regarding the throwing of ashes from the ship,. We were on the same cruise and were walking on deck 7 and were stopped due to blocking the ashes event. A very nice gesture. We agree of most things that were said. The food was very sub par, especially in the Horizon Court buffet area. For lunch the same items, except for the carved meat, were served every two days, very boring. The meat items served on the buffet and in the main dining room were very bad. I had one filet that I could not cut. Prime Rib that was very tough. Short Rib, a chicken meal and the meat loaf were very good. During lunch diners were laughing watching people trying to cut their meat items. Salad bar was very good, except for running out of lettuce and stating it would be about 15 minutes before more lettuce was brought out.

The entertainment group STATIC was the best musical group we have seen on any cruise. They were on our Alaska cruise and equally were outstanding. The bartenders in the Crooners bar during the afternoon and evening were outstanding. Red and Vishal remembered us and what we drank, very impressive. Someone should look into the sub par meat that is purchased on this cruise. Our 2015 Mexico cruise and the Alaska cruise we would give the overall food a 9 on a 10 scale, something is wrong. The exterior of the ship needs some improvement, painting, etc..

Oh the dogs on the ship were terrible. On deck 7 there were boxes where the dogs could go to the bathroom, it smelled. People were allowed to take the dogs through the service line in the buffet and one person had the dog sitting in a chair and was feeding the dog on people plates. Dog lovers don't get mad at me, have had dogs all my life. These were not service dogs or seeing eye dogs. they were little dogs. If they were comfort dogs they paid the $25.00 dollars on the internet for a scam certificate.
