My husband and I booked this cruise last minute and had a wonderful time. The 2 day canal experience was great and informative. I was disappointed that we changed stops from Aruba to Grand Cayman.....but it was understandable with the weather conditions. Better safe than sorry. I only wish Princess would have changed the last stop and made a stop further along to split up the last four days at seas. Perhaps a stop in Puerto Vallarta or Cabo to break up the days at sea. The staff on board was excellent! The food I would rate very good......but not excellent. Some of the other ships we've traveled I would rate the food higher......especially The Royal. I did like the smaller ship feel..... with 2000 passengers....never felt like I had to wait in any lines very long. :-) Not thrilled with the change from "Facet's" to "Effy" for fine jewelry...... I preferred the choice of different designers to those of one.

All in all..... we had a "GREAT" time and would highly recommend Princess Cruises!

Cabin Review

Oceanview (obstructed view)

Cabin OZ

Since we booked our cruise so last minute.....we really had no choice in cabin selection. We were assigned this room and when they said obstructed view......that is exactly what we had. The room had a very large window but all we could see was the life boat and about 8" of sky. Having natural light was a perk to us. :-) This room is a full handicapped room which was great.....and very big! Very large bathroom with full size shower. GREAT! Midship....which was another perk. Cabin Stewart did a good job.

Port Reviews

Puntarenas (Puerto Caldera)

I would recommend Princess cancel this stop and add a stop further along to break up days at sea. We took shuttle into town......and the town is not prepared for travelers. All of the shops we stopped in did not accept US dollars.....except for a restaurant that we stopped for beverages.

Cartagena (Colombia)

Nice stop.....walked town.....bought coffee and did a city walking tour with local guide.

Aruba

Disappointed that Princess had to cancel this stop and go to Grand Cayman instead because of weather.....which was understandable.

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Boarded the ship at this port! :-) No time to spend in Ft. Lauderdale.
