I chose this cruise because of the ports of call...It was suppose to start in Istanbul but becasue of the terrorist issues it was changed to Athens. We were very disappointed about the change since Istanbul was one of out main reasons we picked this cruise, although the added pot was Chania, Crete which was beautiful. The ship was beautiful and the cabins were big. The entertainment was excellent as were the guest speakers. My biggest disappointment was the fact there was little availability of access to water to drink unless you wanted to pay $500 for 2 for bottled water. The cafe even said to not fill up water bottles....Water pkg. was twice the price of the soda pop pkg, and thats all that was included.... The other disappointment was the Shore excursions...they were way overpriced as most did not include entry fees and no time to go into anything....they also were constantly pushed but were full the 1st day....Do you homework before and get you own excursions..... The food in the Silhouette room was excellent enough to not warrant going to the overpriced specialty restaurants $45 for each person, but as a vegetarian I was quite disappointed as most veg. options were heavy pasta dishes, so I tended to stick with the cafe as it had good ethnic food with lots of options.
