We have been on many Celebrity Cruises, this was our first on Silhouette. We chose this cruise because there were ports we had never visited and it was going to be in Edinburgh for the Tattoo.

First of all, I have to say that the staff, from the Captain to the tender staff were all very nice, helpful, and went out of their way to be of assistance.

The major complaint from everyone had to do with the availability of tenders at the ports where we had to tender in. The first port in Gurnsey was a cluster. They did not give out numbers so there was just a huge line and people were clearly frustrated. After that, they started using numbers for the tenders, however the only port where it was really efficient was Lerwick. In Edinburgh they had 6 tenders and supposedly were supposed to get two from the port but they never arrived (for two days since it was an overnight port), so people were frustrated. The ship had to anchor pretty far away from the dock and so it was about 50 minutes round trip for every tender - 25 min to the dock and 25 min back.
