this was our first cruise so was a bit nervous about a few things:
- embarkment and disembarkment chaos, amount of space in room with family of four (kids 11 and 13) with two weeks stuff, number of people on ship.
Let me say then embarkment and disembarkment were a complete breeze. If you followed your directions. Our embarkment time was 2:00 and we were less than 20 minutes to get on the ship. Very little line ups. Disembarking we opted to have our bags picked up the night before. They called our zone just after we finished breakfast and were off the boat in Barcelona and in our hotel by 9:30. Those that seemed to have issues decided they were beyond any of the zones or processes so I guess that is the risk you take.
There were 4 of us in cabin. Two adults and two kids (11 and 13) and once unpacked everything and put cases under the bed we surprisingly had enough space. I brought extra hangers which is a must and a shoe organizer to put over the door which is also a must with that many people to hold sunglasses, sunscreen, waterbottles and reduced clutter. Not the 'greatest' view and I would pick something maybe on 8 as right below you is red frog etc. so there is an awning. That said we never heard any noise and actually bungee'd our door open while getting ready and could hear the acoustics of Edd Carr in Red Frog which was nice. Room Stewart was very attentive - seemed like every time we left and came back room was cleaned.
Stayed on boat thinking would be quiet. It was a zoo. It seemed like very few got off the boat in Rome after full days in Florence etc.
Even event staff said it was crazier than expected. No sun loungers, sky ride and ropes course 2 hours + wait, suggest get off boat.
