Decided on this cruise due to port location just a drive away and the newness of the BIG ship. Big was defiantly better with lots more activities like bumper cars, roller skating, lots of games, flow rider, etc etc. Lots for kids. No formal dining room but rather all "specialty" restaurants. Some were no charge and some charge. None the less most on the ship complained about restaurant service and mediocre food, that could be found in the buffet each night. The buffet even got old with minimal new choices each day.

The shows were above all other ships we have been on with some cool technology, especially in the "270" space. However not impressed with the massive amounts of huge families and kids on this summer cruise. Although there are 3 pools only one has true sun exposure. Not enough chairs in the sun for all 4000+ on cruising days. No significant dress up style although it was comfortable but not what you normally expect from a cruise.

This ship must be jinxed. The Noro virus outbreak, the terrible weather event making it turn around, the death of an 8 year old in the pool, and now a death on our cruise. Not clear what happened but rumors and staff said older passenger had medical event, in the middle pool. They called an "Alpha" code and rumors were the women was in the pool and needed help and may have died. The pool was shutdown and the crew announced were were full steam ahead for a 6 hour early arrival. Next during the evening show in the large theater they announced an "Alpha" code on deck 8, then 15 minutes later another alpha code on deck 6. Next a few minutes later a loud spark sound and the show stopped with the lights dim. No announcement made as we sat for what seemed like an eternity. No announcement, we left, demanded explanation of what was going on and no one would explain or could explain, not best services or security. None the less many passengers were frightened and left not knowing anything. Lousy guest services. Seems like the ship is to big to have its act together yet. I would steer away from this troublesome ship, and despite all the things to do I would rather stay away from the overcrowded gigantic ships.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

It all new so its all nice and shiny. A nice upgrade from older ships with bigger TVs better furniture and much more closet space. The balcony was smaller than most but comfy for 2. Lots of noise can be heard from the hall and other rooms when in the bathroom. Many balconies have views of the "bump" in the shape of the ship and not down the whole side of the ship due to shape of side of ship.
