Wonderful time with my husband and adult children. We loved the specialty dining and had a wonderful time at the art auctions. The ship and its crew was extremely friendly and the drink package is so worth it. Norwegian definitely is not stingy with their pour or brands. I am in the spirit industry and this is important to me as far as quality and good brands. The Escape definitely exceeded our expectations in this field. We do think that the main dining rooms are nice but could have had a better selection of complimentary items and not charged the same amount for a steak as the specialty restaurants charged. While we understood that a nominal charge keeps guests from ordering too much of one item, a smaller fee would have been easier to digest.
We loved that the main pool area was for adults and that security kept the children from hanging at the pool as they had their own large area with a pool and fun water park area.
My only issue was that on sea days there is only one pool for everyone else unless you are a guest of the "Haven" area which is exclusive only to those booked in that area and there are over 4000 guests on board. It got overly crowded if you were not at the pool area early in the morning making a lot of people angry when others were "saving" loungers for people that never seemed to show up. I will admit though, when a security officer was made aware of this, they took the vacant seated towels away.
Our cabin was clean and our steward was friendly. I do like that fact that the bathroom in the cabins is larger than most ships and the shower was great. The door keeps the water from flowing all over the floor like most ships. I loved the energy efficiency of the cabin by keeping your key card in the slot so electricity is not wasted. My only complaint (if you want to call it that) is that the closet is right up against the bed making it difficult to access, Overall, it was enjoyable and very clean.
