we chose this cruise for our family of 7 because we had been on reflection in Mediterranean two years earlier and loved if much more than r.c. or Norwegian or Holland, all of which we had tried before. This ship's reviews were not as favorable so I went in with less expectation, which helped but overall, would have to say that this ship does not compare to the reflection, in style and elegance, etc. What was more disappointing was that the staff was not nearly so friendly. We hardly had any staff engage with us, as they had on the trip 2 years earlier. We didn't have any particularly rude service but no one acted as if they were happy to see us, or to assist, etc. We had been told that concierge class was a step up and we saw no benefit to that whatsoever, some awful canapes every day that we couldn't eat and a bottle of champagne on arrival. in 2014 on reflection, we were permitted to bring wine on each day, up to 2 bottles per room. This time, expecting that, we were told, only on the embarkation day. We had drink package so it wasn't a big deal, but had enjoyed the wine in the room from each port so that was disappointing. Food was okay, didn't use any specialty restaurants. Entertainment was, again, okay, not good shows but the staff worked hard. Several nights of Beatles stuff, which my adult children got tired of, but I understand they are catering to the majority. The rooms were fine, we didn't have any problems but little things like no additional shampoos, etc were provided. We are actually already booked on the Silhouette without kids in a few months. I hope it is better as I talked my friends into this based on the reflection trip in 2014. If not, I will not be tryring Celebrity again. all of that being said, loved our stops and highly recommend Montenegro, zadar(go to Krka park) and cinque terre. I booked private guides for all stops and we had fabulous tours and guides and always beat the cruise lines in getting to excursion locations.
