Having been a Crystal Serenity devotee for four years, we chose the Silversea Silver Cloud since the Serenity was sailing the NW passage. Didn't want to do that. Silver Cloud priced about the same as the Serenity, so figured the experience would be the same. As is spoken in one of the AFLAC commercials: "A big, fat noooo."
Dated decor, dirty hull, chipped paint, laughable table on veranda, limited menu, limited buffet selection, substandard food, testy wait staff, crumpled/creased table linens, crumpled crew uniforms, very low head height (bugged me - I'm 6' 5"). Took a couple of days to get the AC to operate properly. Coup de gras: No hot water for 24 hours and no intervening guess as to when it would be available.......
So, what's not to like?
