Sail Date: May 2016

We did a B2B on the Liberty of the Seas as we wanted to try a different RCCL ship. This was our 29 & 30 cruises. We are Diamond Plus, so we had priority boarding and embarkation was quick. The 1st week we sailed in an Owners Suite and the cabin was awesome. Our stateroom attendant Al did a great job and always greeted us with a smile. We started with two days at sea, which we enjoyed spending time at the spa, reading and relaxing. We had lunch the 1st sea day at Sabor and the food was good & drink were strong. The Cruise Critic Meet & Mingle was the 1st sea day too, so we got to meet a few people we had chatted with on line. We did have access to the Suite Lounge (formerly the Concierge Lounge), and Anis the Concierge did a good job helping with our requests. Our 1st port was Roatan, Honduras, and we did a ship sponsored NatGeo Lobster Snorkeling Excursion. The excursion was based at Big French Caye and it was great. My husband snorkeled and I sat under an umbrella and enjoyed the ocean view with a mojito. After the snorkeling we walked thru the iguana sanctuary, which had wall to wall iguana. We are not fans of iguanas, so it was a quick walk. Quick ride back to the ship and we grabbed some Honduran chocolate and got back on the ship. We grabbed a quick bite at Johnny Roberts for a late lunch. Our 2nd port was Belize. We did an island tour on our open air trolley. The people running the tour were very friendly, and the quick snack of plantains they give us were tasty. If we cruise again and port in Belize, we will not get off the ship unless we take a snorkeling excursion. The land based excursions require many hours on driving to visit Mayan Ruin sights, and most the water based excursions require long boat rides to remote locations too. I don't think Belize is truly developed to be true cruise port stop. Our last port stop was Cozumel. We took a quick taxi into the main shopping area. Bought a few things at Cinco Soles, and had some Mexican food for lunch. On our last sea day we enjoyed the spa, did the Galley Tour, had the Salad Buffet in the Main Dining Room for lunch and started packing was we had to switch stateroom for the 2nd week of our B2B. We had breakfast everyday in Chops as it was open to Suite Guests. Dinner 1 night at Chops was excellent. We loved the Chef's Table, and I highly recommend it on any RCCL cruise.
