first time on the getaway but cruised many times on NCL.

firstly, embarkation- since we are platinum NCL members we went to the special check in line which was very fast up until we actually got our cruise ship cards. then it slowed down.

then all cruisers are herded into a waiting gallery and we wait. and wait, and wait.
