Business is quiet in Manila, time for a quick nap
Local housing and the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in the background, Puerto Princesa, Palawan,Philippines.
The colourful Jeepney's in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines
Local transportation in Puerto Princesa is unique in their E-tricycle or “Trikebayan” economical electric-powered (which does not emit any noise or carbon monoxide)
Hard working construction ladies in Bali.
An economical shore excursion in Cairns, Australia is taking a harbour cruise, we spotted a friendly local enjoying the sun in the mangroves just a few minutes from the city centre.
Unique place to enjoy a fresh seafood lunch only 100 metres from where the ship docked in Cairns, Australia
Darwin. Australia was bombed on 19 February 1942 was the largest single attack ever mounted by a foreign power on Australia. On that day, by 242 Japanese aircraft.
The hinterland of Brisbane within 2 hours has some interesting villages offering local crafts and food. One at Montville has a interesting Creche (Day care centre) for husbands.
Sunday in Hong Kong the Filipino workers have their only day off and they meet at banks and public buildings around Hong Kong, make meeting areas with their friends out of carbord boxes to sit, chat and enjoy a meal and games.
Hong Kong has many beaches such as Hung Shing Yeh Beach on Lamu Island only a short ferry ride from Hong Kong Island.
Kota Kimabulu the ship was meet by some local dances.
Bali, the ship offered an Do-your-own-thing coach transfer to Ubud, only a short walk from the main street local life was very visible.

My son lives Hong Kong, my wife and I decided to visit him on the way to Australia. We have many times since 1969, our 2nd time with RCCL, 1st was on the Rapsody of the Seas 10 years ago in the Carribean. The food and service were good, ship was clean, ports were different, Manila arrived on a Sunday, so quite quiet, able to visit the old city and surprisingly viewed some weddings at a number of churches. Puorto Princess on the island of Palawan was next port, said to be the cleanest city in the Philippines and lived up to that. The highlight was the subterranean river National park a Unesco listing, some 80kms away as the port time was too short the ship did not offer an excursion to it,a private tour was too risky to undertake a disappointment to many. Next stop Kota Kimabulu-excellent, Bali-excellent, then Darwin, Cairns, Airlie Beach in Australia, to experience the Great Barrier Reef, rainforests and wildlife.

My disappointment with the ship was the over crowding for casual meals, the dining room for breakfast/lunch was very slow. The full buffet Windjammer Cafe always crowded, due to this staff made announcements (in a nice way) asking people to leave. 2nd choice the small Park Cafe offering breakfast/lunch sandwiches which disappointed many. Many ships have a smaller buffet poolside. Disappointed The iconic Skylounge is no longer, now a extra charge restaurant. internet prices also disappointing, no per minute rates, only daily, also very disappointing.
