My father was originally from Hungary and I wanted to see the country he came from. We have done the Rhine in both directions, so we thought Budapest to Nuremberg would be a great way to see a bit of Hungary and the the Danube.

The Christmas markets in Budapest were great and the city is very beautiful. With the ship docked so close to the city centre, it was very easy to stroll around after being taken on a walking tour. The guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. Being docked over nigh, allow ample time to really explore.

All of the Christmas markets at our ports of call were excellent. It is really nice to see the lights and decorations everywhere. That includes the decorations on the ship.
