We encountered the problem with low water level. The first day we arrived supposed to be at the center of Budapest. Due to low water, the ship was parked an hour drive a away in the middle of no where. So we wasted our fist day. The company set up lunch "buffet" in a hotel located in the city when we arrived. But it only has cold sandwiches, limited salad and hot soup. It was not a buffet. After lunch, we only had 1-2 hours to walk in the city before we were transferred to where the ship was located. That was the worst day during the whole trip.
There was another day that we had the low water problem again and we were told we might not be able to get to the port we supposed to. Luckily the water raised to the level that an empty ship can go through. We (including staff) all got off the shipped and Viking rented buses to drive us through to meet the ship later in the day.
Other than the first day, all the food and arrangement were great. It's nice that the staff on the ship could remember what you like to drink, how you want the food to be cooked. It was very personalized. They didn't try to sell anything which was a big plus. Everyday we had a tour included and we learned a lot everywhere we stopped.
Full veranda with chairs outside. Didn't work too good for winter. Great in Summer.
