Carnival never disappoints. The food was great, the comedians were great, the shows were average, and the staff was exceptional! Shout out to Tina, our cabin steward, who went out of her way to make my bed comfortable and to Veronika, the waiter's assistant in the dining room who always had a smile on her face and who always found a way to make every single guest feel special.

Even though this boat is big, it never felt crowded. We never had a problem finding a lounge chair or a seat in the comedy shows or Encore lounge, and we were on a spring break cruise. There was so much to do that we found ourselves wishing we had more time on the ship.

The only negative about our trip was our room. I knew when I booked it that it could be a problem since it was under the Lido deck, but we wanted two balcony rooms next to each other, and these were the only two rooms left like this. On the plus side, the door on the balcony that separates each room was able to be opened by our cabin steward, so we could come in and out of each stateroom through the balcony. That made it feel more like a suite with two rooms for our family and gave us an enormous balcony. We LOVED this feature, and not many of the balcony rooms are able to have this door opened. We never heard noise during the night, but at 5:00 AM each morning, we heard the lounge chairs being moved around on the pool deck while the crew cleaned as well as other noises. The noise only lasted for an hour, so we were able to go back to sleep. I should note that we are very light sleepers, so if you sleep soundly, you will probably not even hear it. Our children in 9305 never heard one single noise in their cabin for this very reason. One of the mattresses in 9303 was very hollowed out in the middle. After a terrible first night's sleep, my cabin steward filled the hole with folded duvets and it fixed the problem. She said that this particular floor should be getting new mattresses soon, so this might not be a problem for much longer.

The only negative about our trip was our rooms. I knew when I booked it that it could be a problem since it was under the Lido deck, but we wanted two balcony rooms next to each other, and these were the only two rooms left like this. On the plus side, the door on the balcony that separates each room's balcony was able to be opened by our cabin steward, so we could come in and out of each stateroom through the balcony. That made it feel more like a suite with two rooms for our family and gave us an enormous balcony. We LOVED this feature, and not many of the balcony rooms are able to have this door opened. These rooms are under the galley of the Red Frog bar on the Lido deck, but we NEVER heard any bar noise. We never heard noise during the night, but at 5:00 AM each morning, we heard the lounge chairs being moved around on the pool deck while the crew cleaned as well as other noises coming from the bar's galley above. The noise only lasted for an hour, so we were able to go back to sleep. I should note that we are very light sleepers, so if you sleep soundly, you will probably not even hear these noises. Our children in 9305 never heard one single noise in their cabin because they are sound sleepers (typical teenagers). One of the mattresses in 9303 was very hollowed out in the middle. After a terrible first night's sleep, my cabin steward filled the hole with folded duvets and it fixed the problem. She said that this particular floor should be getting new mattresses soon, so this might not be a problem for much longer.

Despite our noisy cabin for one hour each day, we were glad to have it since we could access both cabins from the balcony and have easy access to the lido deck.

Port Reviews

New Orleans

New Orleans is like Las Vegas, but dirtier.

As long as you stay off of Bourbon Street, it will be okay. The Audubon Zoo, streetcar, French Quarter, and Cafe DuMonde were nice.

Montego Bay

we did the Dunn's River Falls, bobsled ride, and chairlift combo. It was fantastic! The chairlift up the mountain was a breathtaking ride. The bobsled was fun and the falls were amazing.
