We started with the rudest shuttle bus driver imaginable at the terminal. The process to get onboard went really fast and smooth. Our cabin was nice, our tv was missing the cable cord but the cabin boy had maintenance fix it immediately. They also quickly removed the divider between balconies as we were traveling with friends. We had a leaky shower that was also fixed immediately. The water pressure was awesome and very hot which was a pleasant surprise.
The food was mediocre at best. Our server was entertaining but the food was over cooked and under seasoned and the choices were very limited and duplicated. We were never offered drinks in the dining room until the 3rd night when we asked why they never offered us wine. After the price we paid to cruise I was offended about having to pay $20 extra for steak which was a hit and miss. One was done to perfection and the other was nothing more than gristle. The only reason we didn't go hungry was due to Guy's Burgers which were really good. And the breakfast at the Blue Iguana was also good. Don't even think about the scrambled eggs in the buffet. All the reviews were correct on them being awful. We actually thought they could be spoiled.
We found one bartender that was the best at her job and the friendliest person ever. She was tipped well. We enjoyed the shows in the Rome Lounge. The piano man did a decent show but he guessed at a lot of words in the songs and he was incorrect. The Comedy club was okay but not great. Our shore excursion Isla Pasion By Twister was awesome. I would recommend it to anyone. Our cabin boy came once a day and did a good job. Getting off the ship was not a problem but two of the ladies that worked at the port were also not very nice. They hollered at us to keep the lines moving which would have required us to run over the people in front of us. They need people skills training.
Guides were very entertaining and fun to be around. The staff on the island completely took care of us and the place was beautiful.
