I did a lot of research before coming on this cruise and I have also read reviews of others about this specific cruise. First off, if you are expecting to get pampered 24/7, you might want to choose a more expensive cruise line so that you're not disappointed.
I'm a 32 year old male that went on this cruise with a handful of buddies. None of us had been on a cruise before. We arrived to the terminal and had a porter take our bags, who then directed us where to park. After parking ( I recommend pre paying for parking online ) we took the shuttle back to the terminal and entered. We went through different "checkpoints" and finally onto the ship where me and my roommate for the trip promptly went to our room. It was like a small dorm room but was clean and basic. The whole trip we had no problems when it came to our room and room service cleaned the room when we put our "cruising" sign on the door.
Therr are many options for food on the ship. I only ate the lunch buffet once and it was ok, comparable to golden corral with a few less choices. The other days I ate at Guy's burgers (awesome!) or the pizza place. For breakfast I skipped the long buffet line and went to the shorter omelette line which also had a smaller selection of other breakfast foods nearby. Again it compared to golden corral and was good. We ate dinner once at the Paris dining room. It was decent and and more like a fancy restaurant inside. Overall I had no problems with the food, but I'm also not picky.
We wanted to explore and do our own thing. We took a taxi to Mr Sanchos and when learning they were full we went to Ocean. They are both all you can eat and drink for a set price ($55) and access to the beach. The water is clear and nice. There were jet skis for rent and shops inside the property.
