This was our 6th cruise. There were 9 of us traveling together from the age ranges of mid-60's down to 8 years old. Getting on the ship was a breeze - we had a suite and we were able to go through the lines very fast. The first day was an at sea day and it was really rocky, my daughter (11) and I both got sea sick for the first time ever. I don't think I would ever go the Western Caribbean route again. We are used to the Southern Caribbean which seems much more smooth.

The ports were fine. Grand Caymen was the best but since you had to take a tender to get to the island from the ship it was a bit of a hurry up and wait situation to get off the ship for our shore excursion. We did not get off in Jamaica because of overall security concerns (nothing specific regarding the time we were there, just have heard negative things in general about Jamaica). Mexico and Labadee were fine.

The ship overall was having a lot of maintenance and upkeep performed, which I think is good, however, they picked some odd times to be painting our balcony, banging out rust underneath our suite balcony while we were trying to relax and enjoy our patio one afternoon and they also came in to our room to caulk our bathtub right before we were going to get ready to shower for dinner. Another time, they came in to caulk our sink and left a dirty razor blade on our sink by accident. The ship also vibrated worse than any of the other ships we have been on (Serenade of the Seas, Jewel of the Seas, Adventure of the Seas).
