This was our second Viking river cruise. Our first Viking cruise last year on the Danube was excellent, so we were excited about this Elbe cruise. Unfortunately the Elbe River was too shallow to do any actual cruising, but the ships Fontane and the Schumann were used as "floating hotels" from which excellent tours were made via tour buses.
The hotels assigned by Viking for our Prague arrival and Berlin departure were excellent. The airport transfers by Viking were flawless
Both ship's accommodations were excellent for this cruise even though having to stay docked. The staff arranged a river cruise for a day on a smaller, shallow-draft steam paddle wheeler, so we did have a nice cruise that day.

Deluxe Stateroom
Everything was perfect. Very comfortable bed. All amenities were provided for our use. The cabin was always promptly refreshed.
Our cabin attendant on the Fontane and on the Schumann were both excellent and friendly.
