September 2015 was our first Viking River Cruise and we thought the Elba River was a grest choice. The Viking travel folks were grest to work with at every step. This included the fact that the Elba River was too low to cruise. This information did not deter us and we were so glad we went.

We spent days on both the Viking Fontane and the Viking Schumann and the staff could not have better. From the greeting at the Berlin airport through departure in Prague every moment was terrific.

While we missed the actual cruising everything else exceeded our expectations. The staff on each boat, Sonny and Valentina are just two of the staff that were totally dedicated to a great customer experience. Matthew, our cruise director/host was great at very step. Read more
