I knew when I booked this cruise that we probably would have to look past the décor, and we did. There was nothing I liked about the décor of this ship, and I won't book another cruise on this boat for that reason.
Décor aside, the cruise was excellent. The boat was pretty full, but there were people of many ages on board - not just the younger crowd as I had read about, and there wasn't any extra "partying" on board that was out of hand or reckless. On the contrary, everyone seemed pretty relaxed and friendly.
Our ports of call were wonderful and varied: Amber Cove the Dominican Republic - by far our favorite-, St. Thomas, San Juan, and Grand Turk (absolutely beautiful!)
Our cabin was quite spacious. No complaints at all! Very impressed with our room attendants as they seemed to know our names after day 1 and always had our room cleaned and tidied.
It was quite easy getting in and out of the Port of Miami.
Amber Cove is brand new as of last October, but it is very well laid out and easy to use. There were many taxis and other buses waiting for you as you got off the cruise ship.
Not a lot to see. Would probably not do again.
The port is nice and there a lot of local vendors near the ships.
The beaches right off the ship are amazing. Go right off the ship for a walking adventure of conchs and many types of shells. Walk far enough and you can find beautiful uncrowded places to swim. Take your towels with you! Turn left off the ship for a beautiful beach to lounge on.
