We flew in to Ft.Lauderdale the morning of the cruise, rented a van around noon, and drove to Miami. Stopped for lunch in Hollywood. Boarded ship by about 2:30 / 2:45. There were NO lines at the terminal, nobody dropping off luggage with the porters - it's the emptiest I've ever experienced!
The ship is decorated with LOTS of pink circles! You get used to it. We were laughing and saying it reminded us of Homer Simpson wanting donuts! ("Mmmm...donuts!) I really liked that there was a cover that slides across the Lido Deck (deck 9) roof over the pool / big screen TV area. Whenever it rained or was windy, it still felt nice & warm and kept you dry. And there were lots more tables and chairs up on Deck 10 - along with a couple hot tubs and ping pong tables. We spent a few evenings up there watching movies and hanging out.
The crew was great, as usual. Kevin, the cruise director is awesome - full of energy. And you could totally understand his announcements. His entertainment crew did a good job at parties and trivia & contests. Our room stewards took really good care of us. I asked for a bucket of ice the first day, and it was filled at least twice a day for the remainder of the cruise. Our guy would wave to us from down the hall whenever he saw us. Very friendly.
Roomy & comfortable. Did not hear any noise. Lots of good storage space. Love the balcony!
Best port to embark and debark in my opinion. Very smooth & organized.
*For a couple of good places to stop for lunch, we loved Kussifay (on Hollywood Blvd.) and Jack's Hollywood Diner.
