There is a review a little further down (Ferry with a hint of Benidorm) that pretty much summaries our experience, although we were in a balcony cabin rather than a suite. Otherwise, I could have written that.

We have always been doubtful of the larger ships, so have not been on Ventura, Azura or Britannia, but when a cheap 2-day taster came up we thought we would risk it. And the experience has certainly put me off the larger ships, but also makes me reluctant to use the smaller ships again in case the changes are a new policy everywhere rather than just being for those ships.

P+O really have moved downmarket with this trip from the many we have taken in the past and if there is one area I would single out it is service. In bars, it took forever to be served, including 15 minutes from ordering a glass of wine to it arriving when there were only around 50 people in the bar. Silver service in the restaurant has disappeared: you get what you are given and that's that. Even simple details like the entertainment staff to greet you as you enter and leave the theatre has gone. And the introduction of self service wines really does not bode well. Surely being served is part of the experience?
