We were on the starboard side, mid-Caribe deck as well. Yes, the air conditioning wasn't able to bring the room down to 'meat locker' temperatures, but our room was mostly comfortable. Room was clean, room steward was very attentive and the overall cruise was awesome.
We always travel to the embarkation city a day early. Ya never know about the weather in the 'great white north'. We went to the boarding area around 11 on the day of departure. Waited a short time (15 minutes in the waiting area) and moved right on board.
The Crown Grill was fabulous as usual. We went to the new GastroPub (Salty Dog). Significant other thought that it was 'ok'. I loved it. They offered a choice of 3 appetizer sized entries. A burger, lobster mac-n-cheese entre' and crab cake (odd combo) were all wonderful. Bread sticks with a cheese fondue and sweet potato fries came with the experience. The beers (can't remember the name of it), brewed for Princess, were a little heavier than your typical miller lite, but good. We did not try the new Share restaurant.
Clean room with a very attentive cabin steward. The air conditioning was not working properly, but the room was comfortable. To read some of the reviews, you would have thought the rooms were a sauna. They didn't charge extra for it anyway.....
Easy port for embarking and disembarking. Good restaurants and lodging.
First time here for us. Gorgeous port. Clean town, easy access. Could use some higher class eateries, and pubs, though.
Been here a number of times. Is this place going down-hill? Too many jewelry shops. Too many hockers (must be the highest number in the Caribbean - not named Mexico). I used to love this port. Now? Not so much.
Just stayed in the port area. Love the Margarita-ville. Great food, friendly service. Clearest water of any port that I have ever been too. Can't wait to go back.
