This was my 6th cruise on Carnival and it was one of the roughest. The ship rolled and swayed for seven full days. I don't know why this ship rolled so much because I have been in worse conditions than what we had. Winds were blowing around 40 mph the whole way and seas were pushing about 6 foot swells. But it almost felt like there was no stabilizer wing out the entire trip.

When we boarded in Pt. Canaveral our bed was not set up to the way we requested. Took until around 10pm to get it straightened out. The biggest problem was that there was no outlets near the beds and we had to get an extension cord to be able to hook up our C-Pap machines. Also we went two days without the A/C working. They brought us a fan but that was not much help. No rooms available to move to since it was sold out. The rooms were pleasantly large in size. The beds uncomfortable and made getting home a relief from the sore back.

We only dined in the MDR twice. It was fair. The waiter was very busy and it felt like he did not have any assistants as they were having to run for the meals and other items. Dined at all three specialty restaurants Cuchina del Capitano, Jiji's and Fahrenheit 555. Fahrenheit 555 was spectacular. Well worth the $35. The other two restaurants were very good. The buffet was better than on any other ship that I have sailed on.

Cabin 6A

Nice sized, very noisy from the engines and props and needs outlets by the beds. Whoever designed the angled toilets in the bathroom might not want to be in designing business. When you had to use the bathroom you had to put your foot into the shower. Beds were just uncomfortable. Would like to see Carnival spend some money on mattresses that are more than 8 inches high. I have to at least say that our room steward Edson always kept the ice in the cooler full.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

If they really want to compete with Miami and Ft. Lauderdale they better work on getting better get more for hire transportation. It took us almost 45 minutes to get a taxi cab to just get back across to Cocoa after the cruise.

Grand Turk

Just got off and went to Margaritaville. Been to this island 3 times now so it is pretty much just the same old Grand Turk.
